Born in the south, grown in Colorado

A STORY STEEPED IN NON-FICTION
Formed in 2009, the Dyrty Byrds have shown no mercy in their pursuit of original
guitar driven rock and roll. Tori Pater and Eric Martinez are the core of the rock band
from Denver, CO where they draw from the deep well of musicians in both the
Southeast and Colorado music scenes to complete their roster. This makes Dyrty
Byrds a versatile organism that would fit just as easily into the 1970’s
classic/southern rock scene as they do in modern day Americana music.
Playing on their love of songwriting and rock & roll, Tori Pater (Polytoxic, Henry
Parsons Project) and Eric Martinez (CubanStack, Bloodkin, Jerry Joseph & The
Jackmormons) have been playing music together since 2004 and have eased into a
prolific songwriting partnership which is solidified on the latest Dyrty Byrds release
“More Is More". Recorded at The Garage in Denver, CO this group of songs is Tori and Eric's most accessible record yet.
Other past and current guests include; George Porter Jr, JoJo Herman, Sam Holt,
John Popper, Danny Hutchens, Eric Carter, Taylor Hicks, Mike "Spanky" McCluer,
Andrew Clapp, Todd Nance, Mario Pagliarulo, Lionel “Bud“ Lucchesi, Bill
McKay, Micah Munro, Ben Manley, CR Gruver, Paul "Dr. Poz" Cohen, Ethan Ice, Alana
Dym, Niek Velvis, Shaun Gilmore, Todd Smallie, and the great Robby Peoples who
played harmonica on “Failure Is Feedback.”
Dyrty Byrds touch on classic rock, outlaw country, a little punk rock, and funk with
steady doses of straight rock & roll throughout their music. They take you to a place
where guitars rule, truth is paramount, and the bar is always open.
